The ceremony was atended by distnguished guests from both China and Brunei, including Wang Lin, Executive Deputy Director of the Chongqing Chinese Vocational Education Association; Feng Huizong, President of CYVTC; Abdul Saman Ahmad, President of the Brunei National Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Yang Donglun, Chairman of LCETPA. Funded by the Chongqing Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students under the Silk Road Initiative, the program was guided by the core philosophy of "Empowering Elderly Care with Digital Intelligence, Building a Shared Future Along the Silk Road."

It particularly focused on aligning the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with Brunei’s "Healthy Brunei 2023" strategy and talent demands, establishing a comprehensive "theory + practice + culture" training framework.

Leveraging their respective strengths, the two sides collaboratively advanced the program. LCETPA, capitalising on its cross-border service expertise, led key aspects throughout the process: during the preparatory phase, it partnered with relevant Bruneian institutions (including the Embassy of Brunei in China, SEAMEO VOCTECH, University Brunei Darussalam, and the Brunei National Chamber of Commerce and Industry) to conduct targeted recruitment, select outstanding candidates, and conduct needs assessments.

During the training, LCETPA assembled a professional team to provide full-process support, including dedicated class coordination, bilingual translation, transportation arrangements, and ceremony organisation.

Meanwhile, CYVTC contributed its educational resources to develop and deliver the curriculum. Through this collaboration, trainees systematically studied traditional elderly care techniques and modern care concepts, participated in field visits to multiple institutions, and showcased their achievements—such as Baduanjin exercises and aromatic sachet crafting - at the closing ceremony. Six students were honored as 'Outstanding Participants'.

Abdul Saman Ahmad, President of the Brunei National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spoke highly of the collaboration’s effectiveness and the program’s value. He noted that over the past years, LCETPA and Bruneian institutions have deepened cooperation in industry-academia-research integration and capacity building, facilitating multiple exchanges of Bruneian delegations to China. The intelligent elderly care training program with CYVTC represents another milestone in this deepening partnership.

At the ceremony, representatives from both sides exchanged tokens of appreciation and solidified intentions for further cooperation. The program has established a tripartite collaboration bridge linking China and Brunei, facilitated preliminary partnerships between Bruneian enterprises and Chongqing healthcare institutions, and garnered coverage from 28 media outlets both domestically and internationally. It stands as a vivid example of talent cultivation and industrial synergy under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Looking ahead, LCETPA will continue to amplify its strengths in cross-regional resource integration and cross-border services, deepening all-around cooperation with CYVTC, other relevant domestic institutions, and Brunei governmental bodies, academic institutions, industry associations, and enterprises.

On one hand, efforts will focus on key areas such as elderly care and vocational skills, iteratively optimising talent training proghrams and expanding diverse cooperation formats, including joint education initiatives, short-term training, and specialised skill certifications.

On the other hand, LCETPA will collaborate with relevant institutions across Southeast Asia to promote the establishment of cross-border talent exchange mechanisms, shared training base alliances, and industrial resource-sharing platforms, fostering mutual recognition of elderly care standards and synergistic industrial development.

Remaining committed to its mission of building bridges for international cooperation, LCETPA, will continue to contribute to enhancing vocational education quality, empowering industries, supporting Chinese enterprises abroad, and fostering people-to-people connectivity in the Lancang-Mekong region, writing more remarkable chapters in Belt and Road International cooperation.
