New Cambodia-Luxembourg Programme to Channel Support into TVET Sector

CAMBODIA. Khmer Times (11 August 2026) - Cambodia and Luxembourg are advancing preparations for a new seven-year development cooperation framework expected to support investment in health services and technical and vocational education and training (TVET), with the two sides targeting a signing in November.
Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions and Second Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) Chhieng Yanara held discussions yesterday with Chargé d’Affaires of the Luxembourg Embassy based in Vientiane and the Development Cooperation Office for Cambodia Thomas Lammar, alongside Country Manager of the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency (LuxDev) in Cambodia Cynthia Rutare, at the CDC.
The meeting focused on the final draft of the Indicative Cooperation Programme (ICP) between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Officials reviewed progress in project formulation for the health and TVET sectors and discussed measures to further promote the effective implementation of bilateral development cooperation.
The signing of the Indicative Cooperation Programme for 2027–2033 between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is planned to take place in November 2026, on the occasion of the upcoming Francophonie Summit.
