Description
The study provides guidance on how the engagement of the business sector in VET in the context of development cooperation can be established or strengthened. It consists of the following elements:
- Chapter 1 & 2 (starting and target points & relevant framework conditions) illustrate what goals can be achieved with VET, why a cooperation with the business sector is essential for it and which frame conditions are particularly relevant.
- At the heart of the study is the reference framework and its areas of engagement (chapters 3 – 5). Starting from the pure types of school-based training on the one hand and the learning-on-the-job on the other hand, the framework captures several areas of engagement. Detailed information on each area of engagement is provided and offers a wide range of suggestions on where, how and under what conditions the business sector can be involved in cooperative forms of VET.
- To finish, chapters 6 – 8 (planning and implementation of projects) provide support for the implementation of VET projects in development cooperation, including a list of arguments to convince the business sector.
