The 7th Regional Master Trainers Training

In-company training is globally recognised as a best practice to provide students and apprentices with technical knowledge and practical skills. Work-based learning in companies relies on competent in-company trainers with the right competencies to effectively train students, apprentices and other employees.

Since 2015, GIZ supports the expansion and improvement of in-company training at the regional and national level in ASEAN. Among the activities supported by GIZ is the implementation of training courses for Master Trainers in cooperation with relevant regional and national partner organisations. To date, over 185 Master Trainers from eight countries have been trained to serve as trainers for in-company trainers based on the ASEAN In-CT Standard.

Building on the previous collaboration between GIZ and HRD Korea in the field of TVET, HRD Korea recognized the concept of in-company training and the Standard for In-Company Trainers in ASEAN Countries.

The 7^th regional training of Master Trainers for in-company trainers is based on the Standard for In-Company Trainers in ASEAN Countries, which has been endorsed by the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Education and the Senior Labour Officials Meeting’s Working Group on Progressive Labour Practices to Enhance the Competitiveness of ASEAN. The training will develop the capacity of participants to plan, organize and implement effective trainings for in-company trainers. It will familiarize them with the concept of in-company training as well as good practices and training materials to conduct trainings for in-company trainers.

The 7^th Regional Master Trainer Training will involve experienced trainers from across the ASEAN region and beyond, providing a unique opportunity for peer-learning. Upon completion of the training, participants are expected to act as future trainers and multipliers for in-company training in their home countries.
