Future of Skills and Jobs in the Age of Digital Disruptions
About the Event
The radical disruptions that are taking place in the tech world provide an opportunity for countries that are able to harness these new technologies for both industry and education in the context of Industry 4.0 (4th Industrial Revolution). This year’s skills forum will focus on emerging opportunities that will help prepare the workforce to a new labor market environment. These opportunities include, among others, advancement in Big Data analytics and artificial intelligence for data mining of needed skills; learning management systems to integrate the key elements of an education system; and harmonizing various learning platforms to address the requirements of working with cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, cloud computing, and cognitive computing. The skills forum will gather experts in information and communication technology from the industry and education sectors including public and private stakeholders to discuss, analyze, and propose good approaches to prepare the future workforce by developing their skills for Industry 4.0 jobs.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to gather insights from experts in information and communication technology from the industry and education sectors including public and private stakeholders, and will be able to discuss and network with peers in the sector on approaches to address the challenges of and opportunities from by the emergence of Industry 4.0 jobs.
