Description

The Australian government acknowledges that a solid Australian Apprenticeship system is a fundamental factor in maintaining a strong economy. As a consequence, the government has appointed an Expert Panel to provide recommendations on the viable procedures to reform the system in order to meet Australia’s skills requirements into the 21st century. The panel suggested principles and proofs to upgrade apprentice and industry outcomes.

Apprenticeships and traineeships from a whole-of-system perspective is the focal point of this report. It seeks to identify the Australian workforce skill standard and evaluate it in an international context. In addition, training system competencies are examined in terms of relationship between inputs and outputs.
