Greening TVET in Viet Nam

This publication provides insights into the rationale behind implementation of Green TVET by Viet Nam as a strategy to meet its development goals. Despite its fast growing economy, Viet Nam faces eco-challenges in its coastal and river delta regions due to the rising sea level. In order to address these challenges, Viet Nam adopted the National Green Growth Strategy for the period 2011 to 2020 and vision to 2050 (VGGS), through a comprehensive action plan.This booklet compiles examples of Viet Nam’s experience with green jobs and skills and how this pathway for TVET training has been helping generate well-paying employment opportunities for the workforce while ensuring sustainable and eco-friendly development.
