SEAMEO VOCTECH with Brunei Tourism Development Department offers TVET training to boost domestic tourism
Borneo Bulletin, Brunei (30 November, 2020) - SEAMEO VOCTECH Regional Centre organised the third batch of a two-day customised training programme on Customer Service Training for Tourism Industries in Brunei Darussalam at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) from November 26 to 28.
The 30 participants were comprised of officers and staff from the Museums Department, Immigration and National Registration Department, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Mosque Affairs Department as well as tour guides.
The programme, in collaboration with the Tourism Development Department, MPRT and Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU-SB), aimed to develop participants’ service-delivery-oriented skills, knowledge and attitude to help with current, returning and prospective hospitality and tourism industry customers of the country.
Acting Director of Tourism Development Department Haji Zulzalani bin Haji Osman, Training and Professional Development Manager cum TVET Specialist and programme facilitator Noorhayati Cynthia binti Abdullah, senior officers and officers from the MPRT were also present during the opening ceremony.
