Ministries plan tourism skills training to boost job opportunities

Article
Programmes to develop professional skills and establish job opportunities in the tourism sector are being developed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training in Cambodia.
The programmes aim to boost tourism and hospitality skills amongst young men and women in Kratie, Stung Treng, Ratankkiri, Mondulkiri and Preah Vihear provinces.
Skills development programme is the second phase of tourism-related vocational training. This will provide vocational education to young and low-skilled people to access employment and increase income for their families.
This will also strengthen the skills of the ministry’s staff both at the national and subnational levels.
