VEC promoted the Vocational student internship at China

Dr. Suthep Chitayawong, the secretary of Office of Vocational Education Commission, declared the purposes of studying vocational program must have experiences in the study area as well as the professional skills, to be ready for the career market. To chasing the benefits for according to the modern world that must expand the oversea cooperation for gain the professional experiences especially, the country that has advanced in the central industrial system such as Railway system, transportation system, automobile industry and electronics. This summer, Office of Vocational Education Commission (VEC) promoted 84 students to do the internship program at Chongqing Technology and Business Institute, Sichuan, China. Responsibility by Dr. Prachakhom Chantharachit, the deputy secretary of office of vocational education commission and traveled along with all the students to review the accommodations, livings and the internship places.

Dr. Prachakhom Chantharachit, the deputy secretary of Office of Vocational Education Commission, stated this internship program has 84 students. They are from Buriram Technical College 37 students, Chanthaburi Technical College 20 students, Phang-nga Technical College 9 students, Ayutthaya Technical College 4 students, Udonthani Vocational College 4 students, Surin Vocational College 3 students, Ubon Ratchathani Vocational College 3 students, and Phuket Vocational College 4 students. Classify by courses; Automotive/Mechanic 20 students, Electrical/Electronics 20 students, Construction/Civil 20 students and Computer Graphic 24 students. All 84 students have passed the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) level II, this test for non-native Chinese speakers. Chongqing Technology and Business Institute have sent 4 teachers and 20 Chinese students to improve the basic Chinese language and professional skills before the internship at China.

Dr. Prachakhom said the internship program takes 3 mounts long from March 18 to June 16, 2018, which support by Chongqing Technology and Business Institute in accommodation, books and cost of living 1,000 Yuan (5,000 Baht) and the Chinese students as a mentor. This institute has overall 48 courses, 3 campuses, 741 instructors, and 13,000 students. Thai students will study in their selected course and intern with Chinese students, such as learning about engine system of Asian and Europe, Using electric car and fixing the cars that had problems for practicing, learning about Rail transportation system and practice in the real places, learning about 2D and 3D and get the real offers, learning about robotics and the controlling system and producing for industrial uses. This internship program has plenty of opportunities for vocational students to open their worldviews, gain more new knowledge for their ability and instruct to friends at the college. Also the value experiences of career connection with Chongqing Technology and Business Institute which this institute has been preceding the policy of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping, ‘One Belt, One Road.’ This policy was based on the Silk Road in the past that Thai and Chinese use this path to exchange knowledge and culture. This international internship from Thailand can be mean to reverse to the old time that predecessor from both countries made the path and opportunities, being ready for the market that tends to spur demand for graduated from Vocational college. The students will gain the benefit of an world class professional standard, professional language skills. In addition, the negotiation about teaching new course of Rail transportation system in Technical Certificate level, Vocational Education in year 2018. In order to support with the Thai transportation development which VEC assigned 4 institutes to take responsibility as Banphai Industrial and Community Education College; Khon Kean, Wapi Pathum Industrial and Community Education College; Mahasarakham, Chon Buri Technical College, and Surat Thani Technical College. The efficiency cooperates with Wuhun Railway Vocational of Technology and Chongqing Vocational College of Transportation for manage course syllabus by sending the students from VEC, 4 institutes to learn intern at China.

Mr. Guo Li, Dean of Chongqing Technology and Business Institute, Sichuan end the speech with, the world in this day is not big as we thought, the world has been changed and minimized with technology. To learning, it should not just study inside; it should be learning from outside as well from different society for gaining full awareness, to receiving information at the same times. The Institute welcomes the vocational students from Thailand to be in cooperate and internship program with Chinese students. As the exchanging idea, culture, and knowledge will provide knowingly the technology, world class and create the friendship that leads to prosperity together.
