VIETNAM. Bac Ninh (15 May 2026) - The agreement was signed on May 15 under a project titled “Vocational Training Linked with Employment for Vulnerable Groups in War-Affected Areas and Vietnamese Youth through Support for the VK-Tech in Developing Talent and Skilled Workers.”
The signing ceremony was attended by Le Xuan Loi, member of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Lee Byung Hwa, Country Director of KOICA Vietnam; representatives of provincial departments and agencies; and leaders of the College.
The project, funded by KOICA with total aid of 7.5 million USD, will be implemented over 60 months to support the college in training skilled workers and developing high-quality human resources.
The cooperation focuses on building a skilled labour training foundation for Vietnam’s industrial sector, improving the capacity of officials and lecturers through training programmes in South Korea and the deployment of Korean experts, supporting employment opportunities for trained workers in both Vietnam and South Korea, and establishing partnerships to create quality jobs.
At the signing ceremony, both sides agreed to maintain regular coordination mechanisms, strengthen information exchanges and periodically review implementation progress to ensure the project is carried out effectively and on schedule.
Bac Ninh authorities pledged to facilitate the project’s implementation in compliance with Vietnamese and South Korean laws, as well as relevant international commitments.
Following the signing, Bac Ninh People’s Committee and KOICA will continue coordinating closely in project management, implementation and supervision in line with the agreed terms and conditions.
