Brunei Digital Healthcare Officials and Executives Visits China to Foster Bilateral Initiatives

Brunei (18 November 2025) - On the morning of November 18, the Brunei Digital Healthcare Mid-to-Senior Management Training Program was officially launched at Chongqing Youth Vocational & Technical College. The alliance supported by Lan-Mekong China Education and Training Promotion Alliance (LCETPA) who was responsible for student recruitment from Brunei, along with the project’s implementing agency—ASIN ASEAN Trading (Chongqing) Co., Ltd, was also invited to attend the ceremony. The event was presided over by the college’s President, Feng Huizong, with Vice President Hu Li and Abdullah Ammar, President of the Brunei Healthcare Association, also in attendance. Representatives from the college’s Industry-Education Integration Development Center and the Institute of Health Sciences joined 21 participants from Brunei’s Ministry of Health, medical institutions, universities, and enterprises, marking the official start of the program.

In his opening address, President Feng Huizong introduced the college and expressed sincere gratitude to all parties supporting the program. He encouraged participants to enhance their professional competencies, broaden their international perspectives, and strengthen mutual understanding and friendship through exchange and mutual learning. He emphasized their potential to contribute actively to vocational education cooperation between China and Brunei and to promote youth exchanges between the two nations.

President Abdullah Ammar provided an overview of the Brunei Healthcare Association and conveyed his expectations for the program, highlighting hopes to introduce advanced concepts and technologies from China in areas such as Traditional Chinese Medicine rehabilitation and smart healthcare.
On behalf of the faculty, Liu Wanying noted that the training curriculum integrates theoretical depth with practical application, and she assured participants of the teaching team’s full commitment to providing high-quality educational support. Abdul Azim, General Manager of AZIM Pharmaceuticals, delivered a speech as a participant representative, expressing strong anticipation for the program. Vice President Hu Li presented the training class with a commemorative plaque.
The one-month program centers on the theme of "Digital and Intelligent Healthcare," covering Traditional Chinese Medicine culture, intelligent rehabilitation technology, smart health management, and the medicinal culture of the Ba-Yu region. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on training, corporate visits, and cultural activities, the program aims to comprehensively enhance participants’ management capabilities and technical expertise in the healthcare sector.

The successful launch of this training initiative is set to inject fresh momentum into the collaboration between Chinese vocational institutions and Brunei in the field of digital healthcare. The alliance, along with the program’s organizing bodies, will continue to serve as a bridge for cooperation, actively supporting project implementation and contributing to the development and mutual enrichment of vocational education in both countries.
This program has received strong support from the Ministry of Education of Brunei, the Embassy of Brunei in China, the Brunei National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education (SEAMEO VOCTECH), relevant industry associations, and universities in Brunei.
