CAMBODIA. Khmer Times (28 October 2025)The Labour and Vocational Training Ministry sent a delegation, led by Secretary of State Chea Kosal, to Wenzhou, China to take part in the 6th Belt and Road Forum on Cooperation and Development of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and 2025 Annual Meeting of the Cambodia-China Alliance of Institutions, held on October 24–25.

Kosal said the forum is for countries to exchange experiences, best practices, and strengthen cooperation in vocational education and skills development. He highlighted Cambodia’s commitment to advancing TVET reform and human resource development in line with the country’s socio-economic growth strategy and the spirit of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Through partnerships with China and other countries under the BRI framework, Cambodia has been able to expand access to quality technical training, promote technology transfer, and improve teacher and student capacity to meet the evolving needs of the labour market, he said.

On the sidelines of the forum, Kosal attended the unveiling of the cooperation plaque between the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co Ltd, marking a new milestone in Cambodia-China collaboration in smart manufacturing training and technical innovation.

Kosal also presented certificates of appreciation to six Chinese TVET institutions in recognition of their continued support for teacher training, student capacity building, and curriculum development cooperation with Cambodian institutions.
