Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei (24 April 2025) – From 16-24 April 2025, Go Study Global Education with the support of SEAMEO VOCTECH administered a lecture series "Introduction to Global Trade and Supply Chain Management Practices" by Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology (NJITT). The initiative began by engaging TVET professionals convened by SEAMEO VOCTECH, and was followed by outreach to over 120 students from Laksamana College of Business (LCB) and the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) within two weeks.
The programme, delivered by distinguished lecturers from NJITT, Ms. Wu Xuan and Ms. Hao Zhongna, directly supported Brunei’s national priority of cultivating a globally competitive workforce. Participants were immersed in China’s advanced trade and supply chain practices, gaining critical insights into e-commerce frameworks through Chinese case studies on B2B, B2C, and C2C models. These were contextualised for adaptation by Bruneian SMEs through interactions and discussions with participants of the lectures. Emphasising practical application, the curriculum enabled TVET professionals and students to develop localised supply chain optimisation strategies tailored to key industries in Brunei.

Beyond the lectures, this initiative underscores SEAMEO VOCTECH’s pivotal role as a regional catalyst for industry-aligned skills development. The expertise shared by NJITT lecturers has not only elevated local capabilities but also strengthened strategic educational ties between China and Brunei, laying the foundation for future high-impact collaborations.
By the end of the programme, TVET professionals and students from SEAMEO VOCTECH, IBTE, and LCB gained valuable insights into China’s approaches to international trade, with practical concepts adaptable to Brunei’s context.
