IBTE Drives Future-Ready Skills at the 2nd TVET Entrepreneurship and Innovation Challenge 2025

Brunei Darussalam - The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) successfully concluded the 2nd TVET Entrepreneurship & Innovation Challenge 2025, held from 10–17 February 2025 at the Lead-IN Hub, IBTE. With the theme “Sustainability & Innovation in TVET,” the event brought together 52 students from six IBTE Schools to tackle global sustainability challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship.

Throughout an intensive week of workshops, mentoring, and pitching sessions, 11 interdisciplinary teams developed groundbreaking solutions. Top projects included energy-generating Kinetic Tiles, a thrift fashion app, and a gamified waste management platform, demonstrating the students’ creativity and real-world problem-solving skills.Participants praised the one-on-one mentorship sessions with industry leaders, which strengthened their business ideas and deepened their understanding of market needs. The Challenge reaffirmed IBTE’s commitment to preparing students for the future economy through skills in entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability. Building on this momentum, IBTE plans to expand regional partnerships and further enhance the Challenge experience in future editions.
