About the Event
Background
Organised by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Singapore, the Singapore International TVET Conference 2018 seeks to address and explore answers to the issues brought forth by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In light of technology and industry disruptions impacting economies around the globe, the theme for the Conference is 'Industry Transformation: Imperatives for Future Skills and Learning'.
Over the two days, there will be two sub-themes -
DAY 1 (3rd Oct): Riding the Waves of Industry Transformation for TVET Future
DAY 2 (4th Oct): Innovating Teaching and Learning for TVET in the Future Workplace
A post-conference Executive Learning Programme (ELP) (optional) will be held on DAY 3 (5th Oct). Participants will visit some of Singapore's premier TVET institutes to experience how TVET is delivered to train an impactful workforce for the future economy.
Objective
The main objective of the conference is to bring together leading thinkers on issues related to preparing youths and the workforce for the future workplace and to facilitate an exchange of innovative ideas and practices within the international TVET fraternity.

Participants include policy makers, thought leaders, principals, researchers, educators, practitioners, professionals and experts in the field of TVET from Asia and around the world.
