About the Event

UNESCO-UNEVOC will be organising a virtual conference on Skills for a resilient youth on the 6th to 14th of July 2020 as part of the World Youth Skills Day 2020

The conference will be moderated by Terry Neal, an education specialist in technical and vocational skills development at the Commonwealth of Learning (COL). Her recent focus in TVET is to help developing commonwealth countries to build their capabilities in flexible and blended TVET.

In line with world youth skills day, the objective of the conference is to:

  1. Ensure that young people around the world continue to have access to quality education and training opportunities.
  2. Identify future skills needs and develop responsiveness to short-, medium- and long-term impacts.

The conference will be held virtually on UNESCO-UNEVOCs’ TVeT Forum. Participating involves asynchronous discussions amongst participants on topics and threads. The moderator will open threads around specific topics and questions where participants are encouraged to contribute by posting messages in the forum.
