TVET Day 2019 Cambodia

The TVET Day 2019 “Future TVET Agenda” was organized by the Cambodian Federation of Employers and Business Associations (CAMFEBA), the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) and GIZ. It brought together over 100 representatives of the Cambodian government, TVET institutions, NGOs and the private sector for a 2-day event in Phnom Penh, on December 3-4, 2019. 

The event focused on introducing the “Future ASEAN Agenda for TVET”, which was developed by a regional working group of business and industry representatives from all ASEAN member states, including two representatives from CAMFEBA and YEAC. The Future ASEAN Agenda for TVET outlines 45 recommendations on how to strengthen business and industry cooperation in TVET. During the TVET Day, participants discussed the relevance and implementation of selected recommendations in Cambodia. The event also offered a platform for different organizations to highlight the work they are already doing to strengthen TVET in Cambodia. The “Future of Work” and its implications for TVET were also discussed.
